If you require a follow up appointment, this can be arranged immediately by proceeding to the control station. Alternatively, you can call the following numbers to schedule an appointment:

You will not be provided with your medical records after your appointment, except for a sick report. If you would like a medical report these can be obtained from the Medical Records Department, payment of a fee for this is required.

You will be provided with any medications you need before you leave the hospital. Prescriptions can be collected from the hospital pharmacy immediately on departure.

Visiting the pharmacy

The department of pharmaceutical services is available 24 hours daily, seven days a week (this includes the main inpatient pharmacy and the Emergency Department pharmacy).

Pharmacy opening times:
Outpatient Department Pharmacy: 7am to 3pm, Sunday through Saturday
Pediatric Emergency Center Pharmacy: 7am to 11pm, Sunday through Saturday
Pharmacy store:  7am to 3pm, Sunday through Thursday
Narcotic and Controlled Drugs section: 7am to 3pm, Sunday through Thursday

To collect an item from the pharmacy you should hand over the prescription to the pharmacy team, who will prepare, double check, and dispense your medication to you. The pharmacy team will also provide you with information on how you should use your medicine.

Billing and payment procedures for the pharmacy

Qatari patients are exempted for payment for medications. For non-Qatari patients, payment should be completed according to health card validity. E-purse and cash are the accepted methods of payment; all payments should be made with the cashier.

Patients should pay for their outpatient appointment on that day at the cashier counter. A receipt should be provided at the Outpatient Department control room which will state your allotment in terms of patient assessments and consultations with the physician.

Accepted payment methods are e-Purse and cash (an ATM is available on the ground floor near the main entrance).
